1976–78 Studied art history and music theory at University of Massachusetts Lowell
1999 Received Academy Award in Art from the American Academy of Arts and Letters
2000 Subject of feature film, “Condo Painting,” directed by John McNaughton
2004 Was visiting lecturer on visual and environmental studies at Harvard University; Cambridge, Massachusetts
