BOCA RATON, Fla.—Rosenbaum Contemporary will present the work of German Contemporary artist Thomas Hartman in an exhibition from Nov. 10 through Dec. 3. The exhibition will open with a reception from 6 to 8 p.m. at the gallery in Boca Raton, Fla.
Hartmann, who was born in Zetel, Germany, has been painting for more than three decades. His works have been exhibited in prominent art fairs such as Art Basel.
According to Hartmann, his pictures develop as he walks, and there is a distinct interplay between action, reflection and reaction. He moves toward the painting to act in it, then moves away from it to judge the whole process. He encourages viewers to interact in the same way, viewing the distinct and separate details up close, then, from a distance, viewing the intriguing interplay of the whole.
“I paint an imaginary goal,” Hartmann said. “Each picture resembles a journey of discovery. When it’s finished, I start a new one. The pleasure in change drives me forward and keeps my work flowing.”
Rosenbaum Contemporary, based in Boca Raton, Fla., is a premiere fine art gallery featuring Postwar, Modern and Contemporary masters. The gallery caters to international collectors interested in investment-quality art and presents nationally recognized museum-level exhibitions throughout the year.
