Raphael Mazzucco: Collected Art at Delano South Beach for Art Basel Miami Week

November 10, 2014

Rosenbaum Contemporary and Julia Haart are presenting Raphael Mazzucco: Collected Art, an exhibition of mixed media works by the world-renowned artist and photographer, at Delano South Beach 1685 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach, Fla.; during Art Basel Miami Week, Dec. 2 through 7. The work will be on view and available for purchase in the hotel’s iconic lobby throughout the week.

Raphael Mazzucco was named by “one of my favorite new artists” by Carine Roitfeld of Vogue Paris and “one of the top 50 photographers in the world to watch” by American Photo. Peter Beard referred to Mazzucco’s work as “life enhancing, forward and energized,” and Louis K. Meisel said, “Raphael Mazzucco is as innovative in what I feel is real art as any artist I have seen in decades.”

Mazzucco’s work, which merges his love of the photograph with the sensuality of painting, is a celebration of beauty, both of the female form and the exotic landscapes in which the models are photographed. His works often incorporate found objects from the locations where they are shot. He is part of an emerging genre of artists that are transcending the boundary between commercial photography and fine art.

Rosenbaum Contemporary is a premier fine art gallery with locations in Boca Raton and Miami, Fla., specializing in Postwar, Modern and Contemporary masters presented through nationally recognized museum-level exhibitions.

Delano South Beach is an upscale resort known for its whimsical art-deco styling and celebrity clientele. Designed by famed architect Robert Swartburg, the Delano was built in 1947 by Rob and Rose Schwartz and was the tallest building in Miami at that time.
