1893 Born in Barcelona, Spain
1907–10 Enrolled at the School of Commerce and attended classes at the School of Industrial and Fine Arts; Barcelona, Spain
1913 Enrolled in the Cercle Artístic de Sant Lluc; Barcelona, Spain
1912–15 Attended the school of art run by Francesc Galí; Barcelona, Spain
1918 Formed part of the Agrupació Courbet together with Josep Liorens Artigas, J.F. Ràfols, E.C. Ricart, Rafael Sala, Francesc Domingo and Marià Espinal
1920 Participated in Dadaist manifestations
1926 Was commissioned with Ernst by Diaghilev to design the sets and costumes for the Ballets Russes performance of "Romeo and Juliet"
1933 Publication of the book "Enfances" by Georges Hugnet illustrated with Miró’s etchings
1947 Painted a mural for the Gourmet Room at the Terrace Plaza Hotel in Cincinnati, Ohio
1958 Received Guggenheim International Award for two murals for UNESCO in Paris, France
1980 Awarded the Gold Medal for Fine Arts by King Juan Carlos of Spain
1983 Died in Palma de Majorca, Spain
